A tropezian story

At the crossroads of tradition and modernity, Salama takes patrons on an Oriental journey of higher taste, followed by vibrant entertainment in the late hours.
Rooted in the rich culinary heritage of Morocco, glamoured up in the French Riviera and now broadening its horizons, Salama opened its first GCC restaurant in the heart of fashionable Al Maha Island in Doha, last May 2024.

TROPEZIEN ARABIAN NIGHTS
The flamboyant concept was originally created in 1999 by a French couple, Frédérique and Fabrice Dorel, in buzzing Saint-Tropez and Cannes. In 2024, Mohamed Hedi Mardassi, founder of Holdmar and instigator of the project, acquired the brand and developed a partnership with Aura Group International to bring Salama to the thriving Qatari market.

“With Salama, we ambition to create the GCC’s premiere destination for Moroccan gastronomy, with its unique blend of Riviera chic and warm Oriental hospitality,” says Mohamed Hedi Mardassi. “It is a privilege for us to trust the concept to such established talent as Aura Group International,” he continues.

THE MAGIC CONTINUES

Salama in Arabic is the feminine form of the first name Salam, symbolic of peace and serenity.

Salama rimes with escapism, the firm intention of seeking distraction and relief from the hustle of bustle of everyday life, on the wings of an enchanting story. Like a modern-day Sheherazade, Salama tells a bright tale of warmth within a haven of harmonies, where an elegant Riviera breeze meets a warm Moroccan sirocco.

THE MAGIC CONTINUES

The restaurant and bar are entirely devoted to refined oriental fine dining and drinking journey, rooted in the tradition of the celebrated Moroccan cuisine, and anchored in the style, fashion, and chic of Riviera living.

Paired with an attentive Old Continent service, the lifestyle destination brings guests to a land of higher taste, borderless flavours, through a modern interpretation of a timeless cuisine, classic yet culturally revamped cocktail signatures and a cellar selection made to please a society of connoisseurs from around the world.
